Visit
Paahtómahksikimi Cultural Centre (PCC) is the key access point for facilitating Blackfoot Cultural interpretive programming. PCC provides appropriate, authentic, and effective Blackfoot Cultural-based interpretive programing including events, lectures, and workshops on a variety of disciplines including traditional plants, storytelling, traditional games, art, music, and annual pow wow.
The purpose of the PCC is to help visitors connected with the spirit of Waterton while educating visitors about the history of Paahtómahksikimi - meaning the inner sacred lake within the mountain. It is the Blackfoot name for this area and is a sacred place. We invite you to experience everything it has to offer and embrace the balance of life here.
Paahtómahksikimi Cultural Centre is located inside Waterton Lakes National Park. Come out and visit us during the summer season at 117 Waterton Ave, Waterton Park Alberta. PCC will be open and running during the summer season, starting in July, and closing in August. We invite you to visit our website and come visit during the open season to connections with the land, nature, culture and, of course, the Blackfoot people who have always known how to embrace the balance of life here at Paahtómahksikimi.
